Wiarton Willie Festival
Most of the events were early Saturday morning. We got there at 11 and missed a few events but were there in time for the Parade. We then toured around their park. By 1 we ran out of things to do. They could use an event in the park that starts at 1. We recommend using the snowmobile trail and the cross country ski trails as they are groomed for the Festival events. Skis can be rented at www.suntrail.net
While in the area, have a look at some great escarpment views. Just past the marina are huge icicles or snowshoe to the Bruce Caves.
On the second day we went to the Dog Sled Demonstration and had a pleasant time. The cape is gorgeous in the winter.
If you want to go cross country skiing and take in most of the events, we would recommend staying over to Monday.
The Wiarton Willy Festival is a nice low key event. Do not expect any event to be on time. It is time to slow down and smell the snow flakes.
